Morgan Smith of Eau Claire had been accused after he posted on Craigslist under the “men seeking men” category but using the photo and phone number of another man. The unsuspecting victim immediately went to the police when he kept receiving phone calls from men who were responding to the Craigslist ad.

Morgan Smith has told the police that his victim was his girlfriends best friend and that he posted it just as a joke but his joke turned out to be unfunny and will cause him to face the court by next month as he was charged with identity theft.
