In Portland, Maine, lobster fishing is as old as the town itself. The catch here sometimes has bad years too but for this year, the problem is not with finding the catch but with the prices of the lobsters that are hitting rock bottom.

Because of the drop down prices, many lobster fishers such as Mr. Bradbury are looking for different and creative ways to sell their catch and he had turned to Craigslist. This guy is selling live Maine lobsters on his ads for as low as $3.50 to $5 per pound and he guarantees that lobsters will reach u live and fresh off his good ol’ boat.

Mr. Bradbury did not just post on Craigslist, he also posted on local magazines and even tried selling the lobsters in the downtown area of Maine at the back of his car and just calling all passersby for some lobsters.

His posts on Craigslist get good response from outside of Maine but this does not interest him as he doesn’t want to have the hassle of shipping his caught lobsters.

James Weiss, a man from Portland , Oregon has used Craigslist to help him find his stolen car tires. He received a call from the Werkstatt Auto Shop detailing him about his new wheels being stolen overnight. He saved up to buy those new wheels and they were worth around $2,000.

James Weiss knew it was a long shot to find the perpetrator by posting an online ad but this didn’t stop him from posting an ad on Craigslist. He later received a tip from an anonymous person telling him that he/she knows who stole his wheels and gave him the thief’s address.

James Weiss stalked the house of the thief first to confirm and when he saw a car pulling up with his wheels and tires, he called the police. The thief turned out to be a 17 year old kid who then confessed of his crimes.

Craigslist is indeed a great way to find answers to your needs and this is just one proof of that.
