Flawless Women ad posted by Dove on Craigslist

Dove had been known for their campaign for Real beauty featuring real women with their real curves but their good image had been under threat when an ad for “Flawless Women” were posted on Craigslist purportedly by Dove. The ad seeks for women with flawless skin that is well groomed with nice bodies that are naturally fit and not too athletic or curvy. This is a bit too strict of a requirement from Dove and the ad had been scrutinized.

Dove’s spokesperson said that the casting notice hasn’t been approved by their team and they will take the necessary steps to prevent something like this from happening again. They appreciate that the ad was brought to their attention. The spokesperson also added that they believe that the images for Dove demonstrates that real beauty comes in different shapes, color and size as well as age and they remain with their commitment to keep this image in all of their advertising.

A media commentator also said that since the ad was written in almost all caps with exclamation marks, which is quite inappropriate and unprofessional, shouldn’t have been taken seriously.

Elusive dog tracked down thanks to Craigslist

Linda McDowell doesn’t know where to start looking for her 5 year old dog named Bo. He ran away when he got treated in a veterinary hospital after he was bitten by a pit bull. For some reason, he just bolted out of there and this devastated Linda.

She started putting up fliers around the clinic but had no luck, she even posted an ad on Craigslist on its lost and found section but didn’t have much luck until a woman named April Daily saw the dog as her own dog started barking so she looked out the window and saw this cute dog. He hides a lot so they couldn’t catch him and they couldn’t check his name tag.

They tried searching for lost dogs on Craigslist but thought there was no listing until at the last moment, there it was a picture of Bo. Her husband Shane started crying out this is the dog as it looks exactly like the dog that was hiding on the bushes. They immediately called up Linda and she went to their house and camped out waiting for Bo. Bo didn’t come back so she’s still looking for her dog who she said is totally devoted to her. A Free Yoga Class have a $200 tickets on Craigslist

There will be a largest yoga class that will take place in Central Park New York, and one ad in Craigslist gives people opportunity to gain a VIP access on the said event for $200. But you can attend the event for free if you register at flavorpill.com/yoga.
They aim to create a biggest free yoga class that will happen on United States of America. The organizers expect 12,000 or more people to attend to event. Famous celebrity like Elena Brower a known yoga mistress and supermodel Veronica Webb will join the event. There’s also Donna Karan a world renown fashion designer and hip-hop artist DJ Spooky in attendance.

The event will happen on Tuesday, make sure that you come in early and that you have registered on their site. It will be one of once in a lifetime event that you shouldn’t miss out on. It sure is worth $200 VIP ticket event.

Whitney Port’s apartment posted on Craigslist

The star of the reality television series “The Hills” Whitney Port’s apartment Craigslist posting made quite a buzz among blogs. When she was interviewed at the Sex and the City 2 premiere night she informed the press that her Realtor immediately posted the ad when she said she possibly wanted to move. Her apartment cost $7,000 per month rent. And thanks to the media her ad was a sure hit and probably got an immediate buyer. Because the ad was immediately removed from Craigslist after the news spread like wild fire around cyber space. There were several blogs which was able to post link to the said Craigslist ad.

Whitney Port has her own show entitled The City where she’s the narrator. She is also a clothing designer, model and a television personality. She also used to work with Diane von Fürstenberg and was a Teen Vogue former fashion contributor. And she is said to be the new Carrie Bradshaw.

HTC EVO 4G on Craigslist

The HTC EVO 4G of Sprint which is said to be available in June has currently made its way to Craigslist and Ebay. The company gave out the new device for free at a Google’s I/O event which has a total of 4,000 people in attendance. The 4,000 lucky ones which will surely make a lot of profit from this highly sought after device. This is probably where the handset posted on Craigslist and Ebay are from. The HTC EVO 4G is said to be an upgrade from the HD2. The handset is said to have an 8 megapixel camera which comes with flash, a 1.3 megapixel front camera, a 1GB built-in memory and 512MB RAM and able to process 8GB microSD card. This will be the first time that Sprint will produce a 4G handset.
The phone will cost for about $199 in June but they are going from $450 up to $1200 now.

Craigslist TV

Creators of the famous free online classified ads are trying ways and means to turn the Craigslist site into fortune, fame and fun. The site is planning to set up a channel at Youtube which when turned into reality; advertisers who have volunteered to take part in the project where they will share their experience using Craigslist to the viewers. The show will post a documentary series of the craigslist users. And according to the Craigslist company chief executive officer Jim Buckmaster they will target cities like Los Angeles where Craigslist is very popular. They are hoping to reach more people with the help of the Craigslist TV.

Similarly with Craigslist, Google is trying to do a somewhat similar move turning internet surfing possible with the use of television sets. Companies like Apple and Yahoo have also attempted the same move but wasn’t able to be successful with the idea. Google TV is scheduled to launch this coming fall.

Cross dressing thief steals a car from Craigslist

Ian Rutledge 20 was identified after police was able to identify him on one of the high speed chase they had with him. Police thought they were looking for a female suspect based from Adam Ciardo’s complain of a 6 foot 1 black female took his car. He was trying to sell his car with the help of the website Craigslist. He owns a Mitsubishi Eclipse. Ian Rutledge pose as an interested buyer and tried convinced Adam Ciardo he is really buying his car. After Rutledge was able to test drive the car he then pretended to lose his cell phone where both Ciardo and his cousin tried to help find it. Rutledge then find an excuse to steal Ciardo’s vehicle.

The police was able to identify Ian Rutledge when they started networking with other agencies and then found several complaints which match its M.O. Other agency was able to arrest him but the police is still unable to find him until today.

A hot new competition for craigslist – Lillyslist.com

Girls rule! That’s their slogan on Lillyslist.com, a new online classifieds site that is said to dominate against Craigslist and another popular online classifieds site Backpage. Lillyslist is a US based website and is specifically only for the U.S. market. Their listings are somewhat similar to Craigslist where you can find it straight from their main page and you can search further through their extended listings which is something that Craigslist doesn’t have.

Their free classifieds have prices in the U.S. that are very competitive compared to Craigslist, they said and is perfect for practically everyone in the U.S. who are in need of marketing their products or are in search of items. Other parts of the site include personals where you can also find love. Wonder if they have a way to control it and prevent future crimes.

The Lillyslist.com wants to be a one stop shop for the U.S. market as there are other international classifieds elsewhere so they primarily focused on the U.S. Let’s all just wait and see if this new site will become a great competitor for Craigslist or it will hit the swamp as other similar sites have.

$500 car beats 6-digit rally cars

Bill Caswell is now gaining great popularity for news he let out when he won 3rd place in a World Rally Championship race with a very cheap car that he only bought for $500 from Craigslist. This guy is amazing, no real funds yet a lot of free time and a welder plus credit cards made him a 3rd placer in a competition for renowned racing pros. His $500 1991 BMW 318i beats other rally cars that are over $400,000 worth.

It really makes you think that a racer is really born and not made. This guy proved that even a D.I.Y car can beat the most expensive racing cars as long as the racer has the heart and dedication for the sport.
