Nick Anthony Peters had stolen a camera and posted the ad on Craigslist. A woman from the Bonner County spotted the ad and thought it was quite suspicious that she immediately reported it to the police. That led the recovery of the stolen camera.
Not only that, Peters was also given felony drug charges. He was found to possess cocaine and was charged in Bonner County. He also received a charge for stealing the camera.
The camera that was stolen was a Nikon D-200. The detective from Spokane County posted as a buyer of the said camera. Upon meeting with the seller, the deputies of Bonner County arrested Peters and his girlfriend after determining that the camera they were selling was indeed the stolen camera from Detective Brian Miller.
When their car was inspected, a powder residue of cocaine was found. Peters then claimed to be the one who possessed the drugs so he could spare his girlfriend from getting charged. His girlfriend did not get any criminal charges against her.
The County sheriffs thank the woman who gave them information about the ad on Craigslist. They said that if it wasn’t for her, this case wouldn’t have been solved.
One girl posted an ad on Craigslist in search of a person to mow her lawn. She said that she has two things missing in her life now… a new love and a mowed lawn
. So, she is looking for a guy who is willing to mow her lawn for a date with her.
The girl’s lawn is filled with weeds after the rain and she can’t mow her lawn herself and they don’t have a lawn mower. If a man is interested, then he can grab a date with her and she is emphasizing that she’s a 20 year old young lady who will go on a date with her lawn mower man and she’ll pay for it too.
She also added on her funny Craigslist ad that the lawn may be too much for one person to handle that he can bring a friend to help him out and he can date her roommate.
Some girls resort to desperate measures nowadays. For sure lots of Craigslist male visitors have replied to her ad.
There are lots of hilarious Craigslist posts if you are lucky enough to find some. Posts like this one are rare but every time you find one, you just can’t help but laugh.
The ad poster wrote about his girlfriend getting too tired of his mustang that he has to post a for sale ad on Craigslist.
The ad reads “1 nagging dream smashing man hater for sale”. Requesting for offers or just look in free section of Craigslist if his girlfriend kept up with her nagging.
If this is a result of a real girlfriend’s nag, just wonder what her reaction would be when she read the ad. Men are really obsessed with their cars that they can’t give it up even if their girlfriend’s would tell them to. They can’t get the same dream car but they can surely get a better girlfriend
If you are one of the many visitors of Craigslist who are seeking for a job either part time or full time, then you may be curious about this job that was posted looking for an astronaut.
The thing is, you won’t be placed under NASA but under a man who said had been working on the project for nearly 40 years now. If ever interested, your task is to go on an experimental flight to Titan. The craft that will be used is a product of his professional experience as well as his imagination when he was still serving in the US military as a scientist. The most advanced material is used for the said craft.
Now that may interest a few of its readers now, since the craft is “this” good and they will have a chance to go to Titan. The thing is, there is a huge catch. It’s going to be a one way flight. The ad also adds that there won’t be enough fuel to go back to Earth but you’d be landing in Titan successfully. So, basically, the ad requires someone who doesn’t want to see our planet once again and just stay in Titan forever. If ever you’d really reach Titan, wherever that is.
It’s one hilarious ad that unfortunately (or fortunately) got numerous flags and had already been removed from Craigslist’s Calgary site
. Nonetheless, it made many readers laugh and made their day.
There is another round of schemes on the internet that are too good to be true and now it’s in the form of a rent to own houses posted on Craigslist and other similar sites. The homes are posted with rates that are lower than their market rates and they claim that you will be taking over their mortgage.
There is this post on Craigslist for a condo unit in Saratoga that is just $350 a month because they said the unit is going to be foreclosed but the tenant of the house could be its owner if they take over its monthly mortgage. They don’t post any further information of the unit; not even an address but they only post an 800 number.
The 800 number is already a red flag. When you call the number, you’d be told that further information is available if you go to a site where you need to sign up for their three day trial. Then, if you want further information from other units, you’ll need to pay an even bigger amount for subscription.
Their style is to lure you by baiting you with a too good to be true ad then will give you further information by signing up for a fee. The more people who got curious, the more money they will earn from new members.
These types of ads have red flags everywhere. First of all, the ads do not give enough details then the rates are much lower than the market rates and lastly, the 800 number is a big red flag. Everyone should be aware and only consider offers from legitimate ads.
In Portland, Maine, lobster fishing is as old as the town itself. The catch here sometimes has bad years too but for this year, the problem is not with finding the catch but with the prices of the lobsters that are hitting rock bottom.
Because of the drop down prices, many lobster fishers such as Mr. Bradbury are looking for different and creative ways to sell their catch and he had turned to Craigslist. This guy is selling live Maine lobsters on his ads for as low as $3.50 to $5 per pound and he guarantees that lobsters will reach u live and fresh off his good ol’ boat.
Mr. Bradbury did not just post on Craigslist, he also posted on local magazines and even tried selling the lobsters in the downtown area of Maine at the back of his car and just calling all passersby for some lobsters.
His posts on Craigslist get good response from outside of Maine but this does not interest him as he doesn’t want to have the hassle of shipping his caught lobsters.
There is this ad on craigslist for a painting of a giraffe and a tiger that is being sold for $30 then $35. The ad reads “lion and giraffe” painting when in fact it’s really a tiger and not a lion. The first ad is selling the painting for $30 that are said to be worth $300 and was bought last year. They are 3 feet long and 3 feet wide.
The painting is obviously that of a tiger and they are rectangular so it’s impossible to be 3 feet long and 3 feet wide. The second ad for the same paintings is now worth $35 and the poster adds that the painting is bought from Avon for $300. Now he said the dimension is 3 feet long and 2 feet wide.
The third ad for the “giraffe and lion pic” is still for $35 but he also added that the paintings are never used (but on the picture the paintings are posted on the wall) and that the dimension is 4 feet long and 3 feet wide.
Now, who would want to buy these lion and giraffe paintings? You have to look closely (or just a quick look) to notice that it’s actually a tiger and not a lion but the poster does not notice that and even posting 3 different ads still stating that it’s a lion!
There’s this funny Craigslist ad for a plant in a pot that will be in full bloom after 3 weeks and is worth $30! If you read the description you might get intrigued and may want to buy it, after all it’s only $30 for a pot that gives you a message from the universe. The post though is not at all intriguing as the poster also added a picture of what she was talking about. When you look at the pic, you’d realize how dumb you will be if you actually took the bait and bought 1 of those.
So what plant is on those pots? Potatoes. Yup, sweet potatoes that aren’t even worth much and you’ll get just 1 of that, placed in a pot, and sold for $30.00 plus $10.00 for delivery! Amazing, huh? What’s the only difference with these potatoes? Grand Nita puts a prayer inside each pot and that’s about it! She said it’s going to be an excellent gift to giveaway for friends. Now, who would want to receive a potato… in a pot?
