A man in Miami is charged for strong-arm robbery when he posted an ad on Craigslist selling his PlayStation 3 for only $250. The robber posting on Craigslist is Steven Glass and he really does not have any intention of selling his PlayStation 3 for that price but only use it to bait a buyer and then steal their money.
Steven Glass was arrested on Tuesday by the Miami Police and charged accordingly. The victim was Vonn Ryan who had seen the post on Craigslist andwanted to purchase the item but at a lower price. The two had negotiated to a deal for $160 and the two had agreed to meet in Miami but then Glass had texted Vonn to change their meeting place to the 18th Terrace 2020 block of NW. During their meeting, Vonn Ryan had shown Glass the money and Steven Glass also showed him the box of his PlayStation 3. Instead of trading, Steven snatched the money from the unsuspecting victim and ran off with the money and still with the Playstation 3 in his hands.
He was arrested when an anonymous person gave the police a tip to his whereabouts and was arrested. He also had history of robbery as well.

Craigslist would surely make life a bit easier for you in many different ways. Practically, almost anything can be found from this site from stuff to jobs and dates and you can even sell anything you fancy on selling. But in order for you to reap more from the site, you must add more to your knowledge about what the site can offer you and what is available for you to use as well as an idea as to how and when you should sell your stuff on the site.
There are tools you can use to help you with that such as the Craigslist Reader which is a windows application that search Craigslist in its entirety in just one go.
Another rule is to take pictures and post it together with your ad for the item you wish to sell on Craigslist. That means you’re a better seller than most people as people want to see the item before they even think of buying it. Also, be more detailed with your specifications for the item. This way your ad is self explanatory and you won’t be bugged by inquiries from interested buyers.

Jake Kulju is a freelancer outdoor writer who, one day, decided to browse through ads on Craigslist and there he saw an ad for a job that he had always dreamt of. The Avalon Travel was in search of an outdoor writer to create a hiking guide for Twin Cities for guidebooks of Moon line. Upon reading the ad, he started to put together his proposal for the job.
Jake Kulju said he actually never wrote a book before but he had experiences for outdoor writing in the past that was also published. He can’t imagine how his proposal stood out from all the rest as he imagines the number of people that may have also responded to the same ad.
Kulju was not given much time to finalize his work. In fact, he only got 4 months to make his plan, to start traveling and hiking and to write the said book which includes 90 hikes from a list of 300 hikes. He spent 6 weeks for hiking and the rest of the time to write and do research..
Kulju had learned so much from his experiencing and is out again to do another book. He is so delighted and thankful about the country where he lives in as it truly values the wild and the peaceful outdoors as well as the importance of an environment that is away from the urban life.
Michael Jackson’s memorial service was a success as it celebrated the life of the man that the world had loved for his very memorable songs.Free tickets had been given to a chosen few to attend the service for Michael Jackson in the Staples Center in Los Angeles but there are offers for the tickets but not as free tickets but are being sold at high prices.
The AEG Live produces had looked for ways to avoid counterfeits and scalping of tickets but people in desperate need can find loopholes with it. If you had won a ticket for Michael Jackson’s memorial, you would be given 2 wrist bands which you should use one of the wristbands upon receiving the tickets but the 2nd one can be flipped easily.
People had aggressively bid for the passes that even rose up to $15,000. People had been warned though especially with those people who are claiming that they are selling their e-mail confirmation code which is not possible as your e-mail code should be presented together with a valid id to match therefore rendering it non-transferable.
Another funny thing about this is that even the rejection e-mails are selling well too. And it starts its price for $2.99 for the email saying that they did not get the tickets for the great event.
There were only 17,500 available tickets that were given away where a total of 1.5 million fans of Michael Jackson had registered in the hopes that they’d be fortunate enough to win a ticket for the event. As expected, many people without tickets still came in the hopes that they could enter.
If you have tried posting on Craigslist few months ago, you’d notice that there was indeed no fuss in getting your post available to all Craigslist visitors. It’s very easy to post on Craigslist and what’s more interesting is that it’s free.
Recently, Craigslist had made some changes and if you had posted on Craigslist recently you’d notice what kind of changes they did to revise their security model. Well, Craigslist is a free site and when it’s free, some people would end up abusing it. Now, Craigslist made it a little bit more complicated to post and that’s because of CAPTCHA. You have to sign up for a free account on Craigslist and this is pretty new as you don’t need to sign up for anything on Craigslist before. Then you have to type in the 2-word CAPTCHA upon signing up for an account.
Then, another CAPTCHA is required if you want to post an ad. It’s a phone verification kind where you’d verify your account through phone as the code is received only by telephone. Then another CAPTCHA is still required before you can successfully post your ad. By doing so, Craigslist prevents spammers from posting ads on their site and also to prevent malicious posters from posting on Craigslist.
Craigslist is sued by First Call, a Texas real estate company, for trademark infringement. First Call said they began to place their ads on Craigslist last March then soon after that, their rival compani the AAA Apartment Locating had also began posting their ads on Craigslist but they use the keywords “first call” “call us first” and “call first”.
First Call said that AAA Company is using those keywords so they can confuse customers and so they sued AAA as well as Craigslist. They said that Craigslist should be held responsible as they did not stop AAA’s advertisements although they are well aware of trademark infringement.
The judge of the state had already banned AAA and Craigslist from using those keywords for advertising but the case is now in the hands of the Federal Court.
