The woman had filed a case under the Sheriff’s department regarding his posting on April 18 which she believes is an assault towards her. Pot ad equals pot bust

A man had posted an ad on Craigslist where he sells marijuana. He posted the words “420 help is here” which for any drug users would know that he is actually selling marijuana. Good thing the police had read the said Craigslist ad and contacted the seller as undercover detectives then bought a small bag of marijuana worth $45 from Christopher Gray, a 30 year old man.

Christopher Gray had posted a phone number together with the ad which was called up by the detective on Friday so he could arrange a meeting with the drug dealer in Quincy. The phone number had later been disconnected and no word yet if Christopher Gray already has a lawyer for his case.

420 is said to be used as a term for pot because back in 1971, in a California high school, it’s the time (4:20 p.m.) when they come together to smoke some pot.

$100 million Revenue for Craigslist

For this year, Craigslist is expected to be earning $100 million in their revenue which is higher by 23% compared to last year’s revenue. This is contrary to all the accusations and debates about Craigslist and the crimes that had transpired with connection to the online classified ads site. The $100 million revenue is the highest so far for Craigslist in the many years that they’ve been serving people online.

With the economy decline in many businesses and including other classified listings such as newspapers, Craigslist continues to expand and earn more during times of crisis particularly because of its job board. With many people logging in everyday in search of jobs, it’s no wonder why it’s gaining more this year comparatively so from last year and previous years. There are several small jobs being posted online and people visit Craigslist to find small jobs that they can do to pay the bills. The more they visit Craigslist, the more popular and higher revenue generating the online classified ads become.

Housing scams frolic Craigslist again

A man in Nashville, Tennessee is scamming innocent victims off their money by presenting Section 8 vouchers for housing that seemed too good to be true to many people in search of a good home. There are already a few victims who already came forward but the police suspect there may be even more… and still counting.

1 woman was a victim of this when she saw a Craigslist ad and thought she found the right home for her and her family. They actually went to the house and they also took some pictures of it. On the ad there it says that they offer Section 8 vouchers for housing and there was a phone number. She called up the number and a guy who said he’s an MDHA employee answered. They met after and she paid him $1,300 as a deposit for rent and he, in turn, gave her the house keys… or so she though.

When she came to the house with the keys in hand, she tried to open the doors but figured the keys weren’t the right ones. She tried to call the number of the guy again but there was no answer.

Good thing they met in a downtown hotel and the image of the man was captured on camera. The man used the name James Kingsley but most likely that’s not his real name. MDHA, on the other hand, said that they never advertise on sites such as Craigslist and if you want a voucher, go directly to their office.
